Brie Larson Interview – Kong: Skull Island – “when I finish shooting a movie, I still lead the same life as before”


Brie Larson has spent most of her career as an indie darling, ultimately winning an Oscar, BAFTA, and Golden Globe last year for her work in Room. Now she’s about to take her first plunge into blockbuster territory, co-starring opposite Tom Hiddleston in KONG: SKULL ISLAND, the latest Hollywood reboot of the King Kong franchise.


Q:  Do you ever wonder about how you’re going to deal with the pressure that will come from making big movies and having so much more attention focused on your private life?

LARSON:  I can’t see how that’s going to change who I am.  Maybe I’m being naive, but I don’t feel any different.  I’m happy to be getting all these offers and having the chance to work with very talented people, but when I finish shooting a movie, I still lead the same life as before…
