Bryan Cranston Interview – The Infiltrator – “[Power Rangers] there’s a feeling of Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy”

Television holds little appeal to Bryan Lee Cranston. He’s done his time.

“I find it’s important to explore opportunities that may come my way and I can’t necessarily do that being attached to a long-running show. Largely because if it’s successful, you’re face is ubiquitous. Which isn’t always ideal.”

Q: Speaking of risky, what can you tell me about Power Rangers?

CRANSTON: This was one I thought, ‘I don’t know about this, really….Power Rangers. With the floating heads and the voices, really? But I watched some footage they’d already done and talked to the director and we spoke about it and how different it was from the original series, which I was skeptical about, but it really is. It’s so far removed. There’s a feeling of Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy, which was light years from the original Batman TV series, god bless it. The script is great, so why not?!
