Eddie Redmayne Interview – Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them – “I got complete stage fright”


Set in a secret wizarding world in 1920’s New York, J. K. Rowling has created a film which is neither a prequel or a sequel to her Harry Potter books and film franchise which has made her the richest woman in the U.K.  Within the Potter universe, Newt Scamander’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was first published in 1927, becoming a best-seller and approved Hogwarts textbook which Harry and the gang studied.


Q: Was there any boot camp to learn how to use the wand?

Eddie: No. It’s weird because you feel like a nine-year-old. It’s in the tests actually, where they say: pick a wand. So you do feel like a kid experiencing the greatest moment of your life. I got complete stage fright.
