Scarlett Johansson – Exclusive – ‘Ghost In The Shell’ – “There was a lot of talcum powder needed…”

Scarlett Johansson is laughing at the idea of her young two year-old daughter, Rose, watching her performance as Kaa, the snake in last years’ The Jungle Book. “My voice coming out of a snake,” she chuckles, “I think that might be a little too much to take in.”

Johansson is in a witty-ish mood, although it’s probably not the best time to be meeting her today. Only last month, she announced her separation from French husband Romain Dauriac and the proceedings already seem to be getting a little caustic between the estranged pair, with Dauriac claiming Scarlett’s career demands put pressure on their relationship. So naturally, this topic is completely off the table. As is the white-washing controversy surrounding her latest movie, Ghost in the Shell. Based on a Japanese manga comic, fans were up in arms at Johansson’s casting in the lead role as The Major, a cyborg commander assassin, who was Asian in the original material.
