Cara Delevingne: “I thought the insurance company would kick off about it…” Valerian – Exclusive.

Cara Delevingne is in super enthusiastic mode. It’s infectious. Doing press for her first starring role in Luc Besson’s sci-fi banquet, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, she’s practically hopping in her seat with glee.

“You always hear people saying, ‘we don’t want reboots or sequels or any rehashed stuff, we want something new. Well this is it, it doesn’t get more new and fresh than Valerian.” It’s been a relatively brief, meteoric transition to the big screen since strutting away from her first career as a supermodel. Since a likeable debut on Paper Towns two years ago, she went onto be the best thing in Suicide Squad and now takes on a colossal sci-fi-epic alongside Dane DeHaan in Valerian. And the Londoner is only too aware how much its success will mean for her future acting career.
